Finance Analyst

Job description

The Finance Analyst will be working closely with and reporting to the Senior FP&A Accountant. The individual will be primarily responsible for preparing management information, internal reporting and financial analysis for stakeholders around the business.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the daily management information and trading performance
  • Assist in the preparation of Management Accounts, and other stakeholder information
  • Provide assistance with month end revenue recognition postings
  • Generate the sales invoices for month end billing
  • Assist with financial planning processes (budgets and forecasts)
  • Production of client, product and sales team profitability analysis
  • Handle ad hoc analysis, queries and information requests from the business
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand LMAX revenue sources and mechanics
  • Support system enhancements and efficiencies particularly around Finance information flows
  • Support future projects including enhancements to the Sales reporting, Business Intelligence and dashboards
  • Support the statutory audit process and regulatory reporting where required
  • Provide cover for the Senior FPA accountant where necessary
  • Other ad hoc tasks and projects as required
  • Liaising with business departments in ensuring robust and reliable reporting and analysis of key financial information
  • Working with the data scientists and developers in automating and enhancing financial dashboards
  • Be involved in finance requirements for new product offerings or change in existing ones


Essential Skills / Experience:

  • Capital Markets experience
  • Well acquainted with Microsoft suite of products and proficient in advanced Excel (look ups, pivot tables, data connections)
  • Ability to manipulate, interpret and summarise large data sets
  • Ability to format information and analysis for internal distribution
  • Proven experience in using data for analysis and decision making
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Exhibit maturity, professionalism, and a high level of discretion is required

Desirable Skills / Experience:

  • Exhibit a thorough understanding in leveraged FX and Crypto Currency markets, our product suite and client base
  • Full / part qualified CIMA accountant
  • Excel data analysis tools, Business Intelligence packages experience
