Head of Marketing Communications for LMAX Digital

Job description

The Head of Marketing Communications will lead communication and marketing activity to support the expansion of LMAX Digital. This position is the first marketing role, exclusively dedicated to the LMAX Digital brand. As a result, the individual will work closely with two teams: LMAX Group Communications and Marketing team (supports portfolio of all brands) as well as with the LMAX Digital sales team.
This role is tailored for a driven and ambitious crypto enthusiast with proven track record in delivering results through brand marketing and communications campaigns in the industry. The chosen candidate will be a self-starter who takes proactive and creative approach to media relations, content generation and brand building communication campaigns (including offline, online and social media).
The role requires in-depth crypto currency industry knowledge, B2B marketing and media relations experience, ability to cultivate attention to the brand, as well as excellent analytical skills.

Key elements and responsibilities include:

  • Strategic vision and enthusiasm for increasing brand awareness of LMAX Digital globally, from idea generation to proactive management of all marketing and communication activity
  • In-depth market knowledge and ability to engage with industry media (press, broadcast, social media influencers) as well as with prospect clients, supporting the sales team
  • Copy writing and ability to analyse data to generate insights
  • Strong emphasis on delivering results

Responsibilities: 

  • ‘To live and breathe’ the LMAX Digital brand in the context of the broader crypto currency market 
  • Engage with industry influencers and cultivate media relations to enable consistent brand coverage 
  • Closely follow the industry trends and events to proactively position LMAX Digital USPs and proprietary thought leadership 
  • Generate messaging and content to drive engagement on social media to create buzz and excitement among the influencers 
  • Plan and execute brand marketing online campaigns 
  • Work closely with LMAX Digital trading data to generate analytical insights 
  • Generate content ideas for LMAX Digital events 
  • Collaborate with external PR team on developing thought leadership and industry opeds

Requirements

  • Min 10 years experience in marketing or communications; plus significant experience in the institutional crypto industry
  • Understanding of differences between retail vs institutional crypto sectors
  • Strong existing network of media relationships and industry influencers
  • Proven track record in delivering brand enhancing marketing campaigns
  • Strong analytical, communication and copy writing skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel
