Job description

About the Role:

This is a newly created role, reporting to the Director of Corporate Development, focusing on assessment and execution of strategic M&A initiatives to support LMAX Group growth.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Due diligence on potential deal acquisitions
  • Full ownership of end-to-end M&A process
  • Responsible for producing highly detailed models to aid investment decisions
  • Working alongside the CEO, the person will be responsible for assessment (strategic, business case, financial etc) of deal opportunities presented to the Group
  • The person will be preparing key summary documents and proposal (addressed to the CEO) for selected deal recommendations
  • On live deals, the person will be responsible for managing and successful completion of the transaction (this will include full ownership of end-to-end M&A process)
  • The person will be responsible for relevant part of the post-transaction integration work

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Min 6 years of M&A or Corporate Finance experience, ideally within financial technology
  • Proficient in financial analysis and modelling
  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Accounting, finance skills
  • Great analytical skill set and project management skills
  • Highly driven and detail oriented, structured thinking
  • Able to produce highly accurate work within tight deadlines under pressure
