LMAX Group is on the search for a dynamic individual ready to spearhead our Windows Enterprise services, embodying leadership and vision. We are seeking someone with a robust foundation in Microsoft technologies, with a particular emphasis on Azure Active Directory, a critical component in our cloud-first and M365 strategies.

In this position, you'll be at the forefront, leading the team tasked with managing Azure Active Directory, ensuring alignment with the Group's stringent information security policies and standards. Your leadership will be instrumental in advancing our Azure cloud strategy and executing the Identity & Access Management (IAM) Roadmap. This encompasses vital areas such as IAM Lifecycle, Zero Trust framework, and application management, underpinning our commitment to simplification, automation, and governance as we scale.

Your responsibilities will include overseeing the administration of both on-premises and cloud-based Windows deployments, enhancing end-user support, and device management. As a seasoned Microsoft engineer, you'll also serve as the go-to escalation point for any third-line issues within the Microsoft environment. A background in End User Support will be highly advantageous for this role, setting the stage for success in driving our IT infrastructure forward.


Requirements:

Participate in the execution of maintenance and installation initiatives. Oversee all scheduled system software maintenance activities, suggesting enhancements to improve technology operations.

• Take charge of deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Microsoft-based environments, leveraging research skills to resolve complex technical challenges and deliver solutions to the organization.

• Solve intricate operational issues using accumulated technical expertise.

• Serve as the lead technical authority on Microsoft technologies, offering expert guidance to project teams as needed.

• Contributing technical insights to support the development of future IT strategies and provide targeted consultancy to achieve specific design objectives.

• Implement industry best practices and specialized knowledge to adapt the IT infrastructure to evolving business demands, ensuring technical strategies align with organizational objectives.

• Maintain the security of servers and data, oversee reliable backup processes, and uphold Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.

• Assist in setting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for the team and formulate technical standards and procedures.

• Monitor project milestones, promptly escalating issues to your direct line manager or relevant team as required.

• Ensure server data and configurations are backed up reliably, maintaining stringent security measures and compliance with Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity policies.

• Aid in defining SLAs for the Microsoft team and in the creation of technical standards and procedures.

• Provide regular updates on progress and escalate concerns to the appropriate managerial level when necessary.

• Operational support for Broker Trading systems and bridges

• Occasionally will be required to work unsociable/ extra hours.

Key Technical Knowledge and Experience:

• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016-2022 and Windows 10/11

• Knowledge around Azure Virtual Desktop

• Azure Active Directory, Azure Identity and Access Management, Cloud Access Security Broker

• Integrate on-premise AD forest with Azure, Active Directory replication, DNS, Group Policy and other on-prem core infrastructure components.

• Proficient in the use of Azure AD Graph API, PowerShell

• Conditional access for Zero trust using Azure AD, device identity and securing SAAS using a Cloud Access Security Broker

• Imaging and deploying OS on end user devices using Intune. Administer toolsets including BitLocker, application sandboxing, app locker.

• Windows Virtual desktop or Intune with Autopilot to support the BYOD and Business Continuity plans

• Network tracing and analysis

• Ensuring the effectiveness of operational tasks such as application patching, asset inventory

• Professional Certification such as MC: Azure Administrator or higher

Desirable Skills / Experience

• Strong ITIL background highly desirable

• Cloud orchestration and automation e.g. Terraform, Ansible

• Experience with diagnosing hardware issues. Familiarity with server hardware

• Cloud experience with IAAS and PAAS infrastructures

• Experience with databases on Linux (MySQL, Postgres) or Windows (SQL Server)

• Configuration management systems, for example, Puppet

• Experience with Linux is seen as very positive

• Working knowledge of Kanban or Agile methodologies.

• Working knowledge of Cloud based telephony and VC
