Liquidity Analytics & Projects Manager

LMAX Group Treasury is looking to expand its Treasury Risk & ALM team to support the efficient management of the group’s liquidity usage across legal entities.

This will include analytics development to provide timely, clear, accurate information to senior management for the purposes of decision support.

This role would be suitable for candidates at manager level who have strong analytical skills and who are keen to grow their career in capital markets Treasury and Risk. This role requires project leadership to help transform liquidity management across the Group, as well as other key processes.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Automation of daily risk appetite and limit monitoring and liquidity stress testing and supporting analysis
  • Develop a group-wide and by entity Sources and Uses of funds – with returns/cost of funds analysis, including intercompany analysis
  • Working with Financial Planning & Analysis in the development of Group and Legal Entity medium-term liquidity forecasting under various scenarios
  • Liquidity Assessment and Policy documentation of liquidity risks and their mitigation within the business to support the ICARA process
  • Develop Intraday liquidity analytics
  • Review Material transactions and perform Group risk assessment
  • FX liquidity risk analysis
  • Supporting the Head of Treasury Risk & ALM and the Head of Cash & Banking with optimising cash and collateral and controlling client credit lines and debt
  • Designing and developing a harmonised, real-time liquidity dashboard with key cash metrics, KRIs and EWI triggers, working closely with the data analytics team
  • Identify opportunities to reduce risk and increase scalability of existing processes through controls, procedures, and technology enhancements.
  • Other periodic and ad hoc projects, which may include:
    • Reviewing and recommending restructure of intragroup flows and charging arrangements for funding and credit lines
    • Supporting the testing of the liquidity crisis management plan, including testing flows of funds
    • Analysing the feasibility of establishing LMAX name in market for short-term CP / CD dealing
    • Working with the business to understand the impact of new products and services on our cash and liquidity calculations and reporting.
    • Horizon scanning and updating management on impact of regulatory liquidity guidance where applicable to LMAX
    • Monthly and quarterly liquidity MI for management and committees
    • Production of MIF002 report quarterly
    • Provide support for internal and external audit

Requirements:

Essential Skills / Experience:

  • Some relevant Risk / Treasury / Finance work experience gained in a trading environment or consultancy
  • Sufficient understanding of liquidity risk & cash management
  • Working knowledge of financial services industry, in particular capital markets
  • Familiarity with Finance, Treasury and Risk management tools and processes
  • Business fluency in written and verbal English
  • Advanced level in Excel, strong modelling and analytical skills, comfortable working with large volumes of data
  • Strong written / pictorial presentation skills - Intermediate / Advanced level in PowerPoint
  • Ability to synthesise analysis and provide clear and concise messaging
  • Excellent skills in project leadership and stakeholder management
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to work well with others in a fast-moving enviroment
  • Responsible, self-motivated, proactive & assertive
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confident and proactive in communicating with people at all levels and working as part of a team
  • Ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload
  • Approachable and personable nature, ‘can do’ attitude

Desirable Skills / Experience:

  • Finance, numerate, business or law degree preferred
  • Relevant accounting / financial qualification desirable
  • Knowledge of / interest in financial products traded by the firm
  • Experience producing and submitting COREP or IFPR returns desirable
  • Experience working in young / growth phase businesses ideal
