This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate to gain 12 months of intensive, hands-on experience at a leading global FinTech firm. As a Graduate Operations Analyst (1-Year FTC), you will immediately contribute to our global institutional Platform across FX and Digital Assets.

This role is a defined, entry-level contract designed to provide you with high-value IT, commercial and financial markets experience in a regulated, institutional environment. You will be an integral part of the Operations team, providing essential support and directly impacting our IT operations. This position is ideal for candidates looking for a focused, fast-paced IT foundation before pursuing long-term career goals.

In this role, you will be a key player in maintaining the integrity and performance of our technical ecosystem while developing your skills under the guidance of senior engineers.

  • Proactive Technical Support: Investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving alerts across Microsoft-based applications and operating systems.
  • Incident Management & Triage: Monitoring system alerts and performing root-cause analysis to ensure high system availability.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Contributing to the internal knowledge base by documenting troubleshooting steps and system configurations to improve team efficiency.
  • Hardware & Infrastructure: Assisting with the configuration, installation, and deployment of workstations for the LMAX team.
  • Security & Compliance: Contributing to the hardening and security of our diverse Windows and macOS environments.
  • Service Excellence: Managing day-to-day operational queries from internal teams, ensuring a high level of service and professional communication.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partnering with the Service Desk, Network, Security, and Systems teams to streamline workflows and implement long-term technical fixes.

Requirements:

  • Academic & Technical Background
  • Education: A minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Computing, Engineering, Software, STEM, or a related field.
  • System Administration: Passion for learning and managing computer systems—whether through academic projects, a personal home‑lab, or early work experience. Familiarity with Microsoft and macOS environments is an advantage
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Strong diagnostic skills; the ability to break down complex technical problems into logical, manageable components.
