About the Role:


The Information Security analysts work to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of LMAX
information assets. As part of this work, analysts manage the existing security systems and review event
data generated as part of ongoing security monitoring.
The role also requires interacting with other teams within the business, either as stakeholders or by
providing customer service. Analysts must be able to provide sound technical advice to a non-technical
audience as part of a successful execution of their responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Triage of events generated by security measures with a view of finding potential incidents
Act as the first point of contact for security-related issues or queries, performing triage and
escalation according to standard operational procedures
Ensure internal support requests are dealt with on a timely manner, and contribute to knowledge
sharing across technology and business teams
Support the Service Desk function with security-related requests to ensure the smooth operation
of systems and maintain visibility of the LMAX estate from a security perspective
Update event correlation rules to ensure the relevance of events raised. Work with senior
analysts and the Threat Hunting team to achieve this objective
Participate in incident reposnse as required, by providing support in accordance with the LMAX
Incident Response Standard
Report on key performance indicators as required by Management to measure effectiveness of
security
Work with the Governance and Operational Risk division to support continuous auditing of the
company security controls and related processes by assisting with control audits and evidence
gathering
Engage with business teams and employees to increase security awareness


Requirements:

  • Experience in a customer-facing technical support role
  • Working experience of security solutions:
  • SIEM
  • ◦EDR / NDR
  • Identity and Access Management (including but not limited to Microsoft Active Directory)
  • Single Sign-on / MFA
  • Exposure to auditing engagements / auditing support
