Graduate Technology Operations Analyst

Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious graduate to gain 12 months of intensive, hands-on experience at a leading global FinTech firm. As a Graduate Operations Analyst (1-Year FTC), you will immediately contribute to our global institutional Platform across FX and Digital Assets.

This role is a defined, entry-level contract designed to provide you with high-value IT, commercial and financial markets experience in a regulated, institutional environment. You will be an integral part of the Operations team, providing essential support and directly impacting our IT operations. This position is ideal for candidates looking for a focused, fast-paced IT foundation before pursuing long-term career goals.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out investigative and repair procedures for alerts on our Linux based applications
  • Triaging and problem determination for alerts that appear in our monitoring systems
  • Escalation to the 3rd line application teams when required for more complex issues
  • Assist with the installation and hardware replacement work at our Datacentres if required
  • Be responsible for the accuracy and maintenance of our inventory and hardware lifecycle management
  • Manage and respond to day-to-day operational queries and application requests from other internal teams, ensuring a high level of service is maintained.
  • Work closely with the Service Desk, Network, Security and Windows teams to streamline the resolution of problems and implementation of fixes.


Requirements:

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a computing-related discipline
  • A keen interest in IT and Computing
  • Experience in administering computer systems for home or commercial purposes – Linux Based Systems preferred
  • An interest in the financial markets, particularly Foreign Exchange (FX), FX Liquidity and institutional Digital Assets.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Proven ability to handle data accurately and manage administrative tasks with precision.

  • Prior experience or internships in a professional office environment would be beneficial.
