About the Role:

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for acquiring new clients and generating new volume/revenue growth on FX HedgePool (a division of LMAX Group) through active prospecting and effective pipeline management. A strong candidate will be self-driven and have proven success in selling FX technology solutions to large global buy-side investment managers and asset owners as well as corporates and other buy-side institutions. This position reports to the Director of FXHP. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promoting and delivering growth within the FX HedgePool unit of LMAX.
  • Develop new business through identification, qualification, and active prospecting of clients
  • Effective management of sales pipeline to achieve assigned growth targets
  • Maximize volume growth and revenue from a portfolio of clients
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing FX HedgePool's unique value propositions and attributes to prospects
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with clients and prospects
  • Planning sales calls and meetings and implementing post call follow up.
  • Assisting with the liquidity management and maximizing client volumes, with a specific focus on growing volumes and meeting ambitious targets.
  • Providing timely and professional responses to both internal and client queries.
  • Working within a small team to develop and deliver the strategic growth of products.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • BA or BSc in any discipline would be preferable but not essential.
  • Fluent in Business English essential. Additional European languages would be beneficial but not essential.
  • 5+ years’ experience within a similar role.
  • Extensive and relevant knowledge of the workflow processes around FX including a core understanding of OMS and EMS.
  • A proven track record of creating new business leads and maintaining core relationships within the FX industry.
  • Commitment to methodically prospecting large global asset managers and corporate clients
  • Strong customer-facing presentation skills with the ability to establish credibility and trust with senior stakeholders across an organisation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Technical skills or ability to quickly learn and communicate technical concepts

  • Being a self-motivator, generating new leads through your own industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to listen as well as talk.
  • Demonstrable high levels of experience in the FX Hedging industry.
  • The ability to work in a small team and a hunger to create and sustain growth.
